Writing an Effective Self Assessment

Your self-assessment/personal statement is the most important item of your promotion package after your CV, because it’s the part in which you get to explain the importance of your accomplishments, and advocate for yourself. A poorly written statement that fails to convey the impact of your scholarship or the effectiveness of your teaching may disadvantage you.

In this workshop we’ll discuss best practices for writing a compelling self-assessment and common mistakes. You’ll also have a chance to practice promoting yourself in writing.
