In a time when burnout, emotional overload, and fractured focus are increasingly common among faculty, this workshop offers timely, actionable tools to enhance clarity, energy, and purpose in academic life. This session integrates high-performance concepts adapted from the U.S. Army’s MRT program to help faculty thrive in the high-pressure, cognitively demanding landscape of academia. Through an engaging mix of education, discussion, and application, faculty will learn how to manage their energy and sharpen their attention to enhance both well-being and performance. Faculty leave with practical tools for resilience and performance, rooted in evidence-based practices, and adapted to the unique challenges of academic life. When faculty are mentally agile and emotionally grounded, their students, colleagues, and classrooms benefit.
