Part 1, March 19th, noon – 1:30 PM (Zoom): Dr. Ruble will host an interactive workshop in which participants learn about and practice strategies for reducing and diffusing conflicts that occur in the workplace, with a special emphasis on clinical settings. Part 2, April 23rd, noon – 1:30 PM (Zoom): Dr. Ruble will host an interactive workshop that will explore strategies for communicating effectively with anxious patients and reducing potential conflict situations.

Hosted by Jim Ruble, Pharm D, JD: Professor of Pharmacy; Executive Associate Dean Professional Education; Faculty Relations Specialist. Dr. Ruble’s scholarship activities focus on (among other things) healthcare law, ethical dilemmas in healthcare, healthcare policy, and communication and conflict. He is trained in conflict resolution and is an experienced mediator. Dr. Ruble served on the University of Utah Hospital Ethics Committee for 10 years and is currently a member of the American Society for Pharmacy Law.
