Clinical Faculty Workshop

A mini retreat for Clinical faculty hosted by the Office for Faculty and the Resilicency Center.

This mini retreat is appropriate for new and junior clinical faculty. The retreat will explore different pathways to success in academic medicine for better job fulfillment and/or preparation for promotion. Topics covered include finding purpose; leading and disseminating QIs; accomplishment of basic or clinical research; advancing education; establishing a new clinic; excellence in administration and promoting your accomplishments.

Clinical faculty who are considering going up for promotion or who are preparing for a retention or promotion review.

Using Team Dynamics to Mitigate the Stress Response

Part 1, March 19th, noon – 1:30 PM (Zoom): Dr. Ruble will host an interactive workshop in which participants learn about and practice strategies for reducing and diffusing conflicts that occur in the workplace, with a special emphasis on clinical settings. Part 2, April 23rd, noon – 1:30 PM (Zoom): Dr. Ruble will host an interactive workshop that will explore strategies for communicating effectively with anxious patients and reducing potential conflict situations.
